Remember to exercise your right to Vote on October 25

Are you allowed to vote?  You must be:

  • on the voters list, if not call 311
  • a Canadian citizen, and at least 18 years old
  • a resident of the City of Toronto, or a non-resident owner or tenant of land in the City of Toronto, or their spouse
  • not prohibited from voting under any law

New identification requirements – A person must now present identification that shows their name, signature and Toronto address when they arrive to vote. It can be:

  • A single piece of ID showing your name, signature and Toronto address (where you currently live or own property).
  • Or show two pieces of ID; one showing your name and signature and the second showing your name and Toronto address.

Note:  There are eight advanced poling dates before October 25 – location varies. You may only vote once in the City of Toronto’s municipal election regardless |of how many properties you own or rent within the City. If you live in the city and own or rent more than one property, you must vote in the ward where you live.
