The picture of the tree is taken in Kew gardens down at the bottom near the bowling green. There are a few of those kind of trees there – they are my favourite trees in the park. I call them ‘The Lord of the Rings trees’ and me and my dog Biggie visit the trees every evening on our way to the board walk. – Ann B.
I know where the tree is! I walk by it everyday and it makes me smile every time. It has a partner tree just 40 feet along the path that is so majestic yet peaceful in its small stature. I sometimes see little kids climbing its lattice of welcoming branches. It is at the foot of Lee Ave., next to the pathway that runs on the north side of the Lawn Bowling Club. It’s just beside the flower bed. Thanks for the publication. – Jim L.
I know where that is! It is the south east corner of Kew Gardens. Just north of the outdoor bowling. There are several of those trees there! Don’t know what kind they are but they are just incredible! They have such a presence, as if they have living souls inside of them! – Sharon B.
August/September’s Secret Beaches Spot winners: Sharon Barr, Uma Prasada and Jim Lim. They knew that the last Secret Beaches Spot was the tree at the end of Lee Avenue and Alfresco Lawn, across from the lawn bowling club.
