WOW, Beachers have not forgotten their Northern Dancer! What an overwhelming response we received for the last question. Congratulations to Jessica Kenny, the winner of our question from the April/May issue.
Northern Dancer was a Canadian-bred thoroughbred racehorse and one of the most successful of the 20th century. He was one of the first inductees into the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame. The area where Woodbine Racetrack once stood now has streets named after horses and jockeys.
