Beaches Living Guide Fall/Winter 2016
Celebrate TORONTO!
Top 10 Iconic Landmarks
2015 is the year for Toronto: Our New City Hall just celebrated
its 50th birthday, after 22 years the Blue Jays have won the
American League East Division and the Toronto FC played their
first ever playoff game. Toronto hosted the largest sporting event
ever in Canada – the Pan Am and Parapan Am Games. And our
internationally known film festival, TIFF, celebrated its 40th
anniversary this fall.
It seemed like the perfect year to share with you some of our city’s
most iconic landmarks – selected not necessarily because of their
age but because of what each of them means to us about Toronto,
how they make us proud of our city, they give us many personal
memories and they are identified as Toronto to the world. Many
people can remember grand openings or even being in the crowd
on opening day.
There are so many stories to tell about each landmark, we hope
these will interest and inspire you next time you are standing by
those places.
It was no easy task to narrow down the Top 10 picks because there
are so many to choose from. We are sure that everyone has their
own picks. Name your own Top 10 iconic landmarks, some may be on our list and others may not,
that say “Toronto” to you.
