Your children can inspire you to see the world. Linda
Williamson, Associate Broker with Prudential Properties Plus - who
loves to travel - jumped at the opportunity to visit exotic places when her
grown children were working aboard. So Linda and her husband Andrew headed
for Japan where their son was teaching English and to India where their daughter
was involved in organic farming.
Changing settings started early. Born to a mining family in Val D'Or Quebec,
Linda as a child moved to Toronto. Although she was raised here and earned
her Masters of Social Work at the U of T, upon graduation it was off to the
Maritimes. Andrew landed a job utilizing his training in environmental research
in the Nova Scotia Department of the Environment and Linda began a career
in social work. For a decade the young couple lived in Halifax and St John's,
raising a family and developing an abiding love of the people and the land.
Back in Toronto Linda continued in social work for
some time, but after 15 years, it was time for Linda to start off in a new
direction.
Linda, however, has brought her invaluable experience in social work to the
Real Estate role as an Associate Broker with Prudential Properties Plus. Linda
helps guide clients through the entire process of change, not only stick handling
all aspects in the sale of the house but using her empathy and knowledge to
provide options for moving forward. Needless to say many clients have become
friends.
Dogs too have benefited from Linda's big heart. Always with a dog in the family,
Linda has on many occasions acquired a new 4 footed friend through animal
rescue, including the newest addition to the household, a 10 year old German
Shepherd.
When time permits, Linda recharges her batteries at the family cottage on
Lake Kahshe. This retreat, accessible only by boat, enables Linda to enjoy
the pastimes she loves - reading, hiking through the woods, and gardening.
The only passion she cannot satisfy there is her delight in visiting antique
shops.
