Local Roundups:

#1. Time to enjoy our own back yard!
August has been one of the best times of year in the Beaches, now that the heat is gone and the crowds have departed, to partake of all the wonderful things the Beaches has to offer: genuine warmth and hospitality, great shopping along Queen Street and Kingston Road, many fine places to dine, and of course the boardwalk. There’s nowhere quite like the Beaches, so let’s all get out and enjoy the last two weeks before the summer holidays is over.

Anniversaries (recap):
Balmy Beach Club is celebrating its 100th anniversary since the first club house was built. The present club house is the third one in that location.

Beaches Lions Club 70th Charter Anniversary will be celebrated October 1st, 2005 at Ashbridges Bay Yacht Club.

The 25th Anniversary Terry Fox Run is on September 18, 2005.
